Commercial Construction Superintendent for Top OC General Contractor


Responsibilities:
1. Field Supervision
a. Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship that conforms to the plans and specifications.
b. Oversee all jobsite related activities, equipment, materials, communication with internal
staff, onsite employees, clients, subcontractors, vendors etc.
c. Ensure construction is per plans, specifications and contracts.
d. Understand the plans, specifications and scope by trade.
e. Identify and solve jobsite issues/problems.
2. Scheduling
a. Write original project schedule and create 3 week look ahead schedules each week.
b. Provide 3-5 days advance notice to subcontractors for all work and make a follow-up call 1-2
days before work is scheduled.
c. Keep subcontractors accountable for the schedule.
d. Coordinate, schedule and conduct jobsite weekly meetings.
e. Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary.
3. Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors and
employees.
4. Safety
a. Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards
immediately.
b. Ensure all company employees, subcontractors and vendors are adhering to safety policies and
codes on the jobsite.
c. Conduct weekly tailgate meetings and submit all required safety and SWPPP paperwork to Safety
Manager weekly.
5. Change Orders
a. Identify changes as they occur on each project and advise Owner Representative and Project
Manager in writing.
b. Develop a plan of action to complete change related work and submit in writing to the Project
Manager for consideration.
6. Reporting
a. Complete jobsite daily report including: identifying subcontractor staff and equipment levels, subcontractors scheduled for future work, jobsite visitors, inspection activity, weather,
general notes, etc
b. Document project issues, owner requests, etc. as they occur.
c. Take progress pictures of the job weekly and email to Project Manager.
7. Project Closeout
a. Develop punch lists and ensure all punch list items are completed in a timely manner.
b. Complete project closeout checklists and return/organize field inventory items to the shop.
8. Continuous Improvement
a. Continually review job responsibilities and projects to improve and/or streamline.
b. Make suggestions to management in order to improve procedures and implement as directed.
Computer Skills:
Successful candidate should be knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows and Office applications,
specifically Outlook, Excel and Word. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Project is also
required.
Work Characteristics:
Successful candidate must be flexible, very well organized, and work well in a team environment.
Candidate must be professional and possess strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral
and written. Candidate must also possess good time management, scheduling and problem solving
skills. Positive attitude and attention to details are also required.
Education/Requirements:
o Five
years of construction superintendent experience.
o Ability to read and understand blueprints.
o Working knowledge of general trades: carpentry, framing, drywall, etc
o General knowledge of building and safety codes.
o Must have valid driver's license and a vehicle with insurance.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
