Main Duties & Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Sales and Customer Support Manager is responsible for providing the leadership, guidance and direction to the inside sales team in support of all aspects of the inside sales efforts. This position works closely with the outside sales team, product line managers and other key team members to ensure the successful growth of the business. This position requires an extensive knowledge of Aerospace fastener products to provide the required direction and market intelligence to successfully grow the business.
Essential Duties

  • Provide leadership to build a highly functioning sales team

  • Foster a high energy team-oriented culture

  • Build skillsets of Inside Sales Team through coaching, mentoring and training


  • Manage performance and salary reviews and generate employee development plans

  • Implement process changes to improve the efficiency of the inside sales team

  • Ensure department procedures and policies are understood and met

  • Drive aspects of the planning and budgeting process

  • Directly manage customer accounts as required

  • Develop and maintain price tables

  • Develop and maintain ecommerce site for customer quoting activity

  • Key team member to establish a European logistics operation

  • Track price trends in the market to appropriately price to market

  • Maintain customer contracts and agreements in system to ensure compliance

Base Business

  • Set and track sales target by representative to meet or exceed monthly goal

  • Report weekly on progress towards target and identify reasons for variances

  • Report weekly on quoting activity status and closure rates

  • Prepare monthly report on business performance and reasons for variances

  • Spearhead quote activity to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of quotes

New Business

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive organic growth for the business

  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends

  • Support new business proposal activity

Customer Support

  • Build relationships with all key customers

  • Manage customer situations that escalate beyond the Inside Sales Representative

  • Lead customer support feedback initiatives to gather objective evidence of satisfaction


  • Proven track record as an Inside Sales Manager in the Aerospace Industry

  • In depth understanding of Aerospace fastener products

  • Experience with contracting and negotiating

  • Experience with ecommerce customer management system

  • BS degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field

  • In depth understanding of Sales Administration Process

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
