About this Job:
Managetrialing design and activities for Vegetable Legumes to drive excellence inon/off site trialing of core traits
Development,validation, and global rollout of advanced phenotyping protocols and platforms
Analysisand curation of data to ensure quality and usefulness across functions
Providestrong technical interface between R&D and Sales/Marketing/Customers
Essential Duties &Responsibilities:
Manage trialing program to deliver quality data to support varietyadvancement decisions including organizing internal(on-station) and external (off-station) trials with station managers and thirdparty growers. Prepare trials in MINT and SPRIT
Organize and assist in planting and data collection in thefield with Syngenta or third party employees
Provide data sets on the performance of materials from alltrials and make good overviews about the varieties for their positioning incertain markets compared to Syngenta and competition. Fill relevant PMD information
Conduct product tours and technical training for sales andcustomers
Using databases as SPIRIT, MINT and software as Excel, JMPto plan trials and other software for data management and analyses
Maintain good contacts with the distributors/growers/traderswith the objective to understand customer needs & practices, and use thisinformation to update breeders in order to improve breeding goals and trial
Follow Nagoya, Biosafety, HSE rules and the quality systemrequirements
Education & Experience:
MSc (required) and/or PhD (preferred) in Plant Breeding orGenetics with strong capabilities in Statistics and Experimental Design
Strong aptitude in math and logic (coding a plus)
Experience with development and fabrication of advanced phenotyping methodsand equipment (image analysis experience a plus)
Good understanding of the English language both verbally and in writing(Spanish a plus)
Additional Knowledge,Skills, Traits & Abilities:
Profound understanding of agronomy and basic breeding principles
Willingness to travel frequently (internal/abroad)
Experience with working in international environment is aplus
Experience in making public presentations is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
