Vehicle Description Here is a very nicely restored 1972 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with a rebuilt 350 and TH350 automatic transmission, power steering and 4 wheel power disc brakes.
The engine was rebuilt about 15 years ago and has not been driven much since then.
It is equipped with some performance mods:
Edelbrock aluminum intake and Holley four barrel carburetor, headers, MSD electronic ignition with mechanical tachometer drive.
Underneath the car we can see that the whole front and rear suspensions were redone, with extra beefy sway bars front and rear, high performance fiberglass rear spring and Bilstein shocks all around.
A very nicely fitted dual Magnaflow exhaust system carries the gasses out back.
Transmission, suspension, brakes etc were all gone thru at the restoration and all work well.
This car has always been in California so there is no problem with hidden rust on the window frame or corrosion on bare metal parts underneath.
The Saddle interior is very nicely restored too, with all soft parts supple and soft, just like the new canvas convertible top which also has new stainless locking pins and rebuilt locking mechanisms.
In 1971 some Corvettes came in this very desirable color named War Bonnet Gold.
It is my understanding that some were given or leased to astronauts, and GM had an advertising campaign around this very beautiful color.
In 1972 they kept the color and then fazed it out.
The car had the paint redone at restoration and it still looks beautiful and shiny.
Last year of the chrome bumpers both front and rear! The Corvette sits on original Rallye Wheels with good tires that have white lettering.
Adult owned and driven, overall a very nicely restored Corvette that is always garaged, and runs and drives great!.
